Oral Conscious Sedation

Are dental fears keeping you from having a healthy mouth?

Are you afraid of going to the dentist?

Has it been a long time since your last dental appointment due to fear?

Do you have sensitive teeth and gums?

Are you immune to traditional methods of numbing techniques?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions then conscious sedation is for you.

Oral conscious sedation allows you to be put in a completely relaxed state for your entire dental procedure.

Dr. Alina administers a mild narcotic, in the form of a pill or liquid, which undergoes rapid absorption and has a relatively short duration of effect.

During sedation you will be in a deeply relaxed state, but still responsive, and you will feel no discomfort. While under sedation, your vital signs will be carefully monitored.

With oral conscious sedation dentistry you can relax and let us take care of you and your teeth.

Please note that patients treated with oral conscious sedation must be accompanied to and from their visit, monitored at home and may not drive or drink alcohol for a specified period post treatment.

What To Expect:

In our office we use oral conscious sedation. You will be in a dreamlike state, but not asleep. You will be able to respond to questions. We can perform a wide range of dental procedures in a single visit.

Upon completion of your dental treatment under conscious sedation, you will feel relaxed with little or no memory of the procedure.
